Ready for Red Nose Day

on 17 March 2011.

Quadrant staff are gearing up to raise laughter as well as money for charity with a host of wacky challenges that will involve tenants eating jammy doughnuts without lip licking and seeing how many marshmallows they can get into their mouths at once.

Bushtucker challenge Quadrant style

“Our tenants are always game to help us raise funds for charity, so we’ve come up with some great competitions, mostly around eating!” says organiser Lauren White.

“We wanted to know who had the biggest mouth, so we’re challenging everyone to see who can get the most marshmallows in their mouth at once. Staff are putting forward Quadrant manager Jim Coleman for that one!

“Then there’s a particularly wicked competition to see how many cream crackers people can eat in one minute – with no water allowed. Plus we’ve found some seriously sour boiled sweets and we’re challenging people to see if they can suck them to the bitter end.”

“But the main event of the day involves our chef, Tracy Morris or rather her evil twin. She’s prepared a Quadrant version of the Bushtucker challenge with some weird and wonderful concoctions.”

Audiences are welcome at all the challenges. If  they want to watch someone else suffering then they can “Wax the cleaning supervisor”. Quadrant cleaning supervisor Jamie has agreed to be waxed smooth for Red Nose Day and is inviting sponsorship to raise funds as he squeals and relinquishes his hairy man status.

The various challenges will take place throughout Red Nose Day and end with a raffle to add to the money raised.
